Tidal Textures Update

June 28, 2020

After two weeks of slow stitching I have two shells completed. This project is on Congress cloth and my eyes can only stitch so much before needing a rest. The upper shell took most of a week. I couched the edges and then used a split stitch for the interior areas. Ended with buttonhole on the top area.

The lower shell is done in t-stitch and tent. I think it is interesting that the same number of ply in floss shows differently in different stitches.

I’m going to start another project on 18ct. Canvas. My ANG chapter has a summer challenge each year. Although we have not been able to meet since February Challenge instructions were emailed to all members. This year we are to stitch a project, no less than 5 inches square, the represents something you cannot touch. I think I have an idea and I’m heading to my sketch book to rough it out. Should have a reveal in my next post.
