Hi Ho Stitchaway
This past weekend I spent two days just stitching and eating……. Each year my Tucson ANG chaper holds a weekend stitching retreat at a small bed and breakfast in Amado, just south of Green Valley, AZ. There are only 9 rooms and we reserve the whole place. This year we had 13 attendees. The dining room, which we take over as a stitching room, has glass on three sides which makes for great light.
Our wonderful organizer, Charleane, creats goodie bage based on the years theme. We play stitchers bingo, and award prizes to anyone who finishes a project at the retreat. Everyone brings food. No one organizes this but somehow we alwways have more than enough good stuff both halthy and not so healthy 🙂
You may remember the snowman on the left from this time last year. His buddy was started severl months ago and I figured I would take him to the retreat as a break from CHOCOLATE. He was about half done and stitching most of Saturday I completed him. Yeah !!!. I got to pick a treasure from the treasure box (small items donated to the guild and wrapped). My treasure was 5 skeins of fall colored floss. Never can have too much floss 🙂
The next post will update you on CHOCOLATE.
