Plum Blossom Kimono, The Beginning

July 19, 2011

There is LOTS of outlining to do for Plum Blossom Kimono.  I am counting, counting and counting more. I am enjoying it, now that I am on a roll.  I have enough done to key off sections, which makes counting easier. The photo shows two days worth of outlining. I am pushing forward as I am anxious to get to all those little areas.

The threads are all silk except for the thread for the outlining. The chart called for Elegance but Threadneedle Street did not carry that so I substituted with Soie Perle.  It is a little more shiny than Elegance but I was able to get the correct colors.

I’m usually not a kimono fan, but I really like this. Do you know where I might be able to purchase the chart?

I loved your little snow lady. She is so cute. Love the colors on your kimono.
