More Fire and Ice

It’s been over a week since I updated.  As you can see I have made great progress on Fire & Ice.  This is an interesting and fun project.  One of the objectives in the class was to learn about shading.  The horizontal areas in the project are shaded dark to light by changing and needle blending colors.  The vertical areas show shading by reducing the number of plys of thread used.  Shading is a subject that I can never know enough about.  In addition to learning how to shade I find it a challenge to know when and where to shade.
