Turquoise Trail

When traveling in a motorhome there is a limited amount of space.  Not all SABLE (stash accumulated beyond life expectanancy) can be carried.  I have a closet at my Dads house in Arizona that is stuffed.  When getting ready to travel I decide on several projects to take along and try to have threads pulled for each project.

Sounds pretty organized.  The operative word is “try”. It doesn’t always get done.  When I decided I wanted to stitch Turquoise Trail I did not like the original colors but was intrigued by the design.  I did not have enough time to do a color change before I left Arizona.

After finishing my Northwest Sampler I set about to put together a color change for Turquoise Trail from my stash in the motorhome.  Much easier said than done.  Having a limited number of threads to choose from presents challenges.

  1. First: Choosing a color scheme
  2. Second:  Having enough threads to create texture
  3. Third: Having the right number of thread values.
  4. Fourth:  Having enough of each color to finish the project.

More on this in a few days
